COVID-19 Protocol for the Quispamsis Figure Skating Club

The Quispamsis Figure Skating Club is committed to providing and maintaining a safe environment for all. This document sets out the protocol related to COVID-19 to be followed for the safe delivery of programming by the Quispamsis Figure Skating Club. This protocol requires that, in accordance with the terms set out below, all persons subject to this protocol be vaccinated for COVID-19 or obtain an approved exemption as determined by the Province of New Brunswick.
This protocol complies with general measures and recommendations for events to help combat the spread of COVID-19 as established by Public Health New Brunswick. However additional safety protocols may be applied based on local requirements.
These protocols are mandatory for all participants, which includes athletes, officials, staff, coaches, volunteers, and spectators who are involved in the Quispamsis Figure Skating Club Activities.
Failure to comply with these protocols could lead to discipline, removal from the event or denial of entry.


1. General Comments
i. All Athletes, Coaches, Team Managers, Technical Officials, Staff, and any other personnel who are taking part in the Activity must follow all guidelines indicated in this document. Failure to comply will lead to discipline, denial of entry or removal from the Activity.
ii. The Quispamsis Figure Skating Club reserves the right to pursue additional discipline if appropriate in the circumstances.
iii. Local, Provincial and National governmental COVID health and safety protocols as well as venue operator health and safety protocols must be followed at all Quispamsis Figure Skating Club Activities. This includes, but is
not limited to, proof of vaccination, required COVID testing, limitation in the number of participants in the venue, daily health attestations, mask mandates, social distancing mandates and other such measures required by provincial authorities. iv. Activity means any event, on-ice practice, off-ice training, or any other activity involving skaters, coaches, officials and/or volunteers that is approved by the Quispamsis Figure Skating Club.
v. The Quispamsis Figure Skating Club reserves the rights to apply additional health and safety protocols than those mandated by provincial authorities and/or the sport venue at its sole discretion.


2. Protocols for Participants at Activities
i. All participants wishing to enter the sport venue must provide proof of full vaccination. This includes skaters, coaches, support team, officials, staff, spectators, and volunteers.
ii. Participants under the age of twelve do not have to provide proof of full vaccination.
iii. If the Quispamsis Figure Skating Club is uncertain whether a participant is under 12 years of age, the Quispamsis Figure Skating Club may request that the participant provide acceptable proof of their age.
iv. For skaters under 12 years old whose parents/guardians are not vaccinated, another guardian/adult may accompany them. This person must provide a proof of vaccination.
v. The Quispamsis Figure Skating Club may limit the number of guardians accompanying skaters to the arena as they deem appropriate.
vi. Acceptable vaccines are only those approved by Health Canada.
a. Accepted Proof of vaccination include:
i. MyHealthNB record.
ii. Immunization record from an RHA clinic, pharmacy, or Public Health.
iii. Photo or copy of an immunization record.
iv. Proof of Vaccination from another jurisdiction.
v. Medical exemption certificate.
b. The Quispamsis Figure Skating Club will only use and disclose information regarding a participant’s vaccination status in accordance with all applicable privacy laws.
c. The Quispamsis Figure Skating Club will not collect or store any proof of vaccination records. The only information held by the Quispamsis Figure Skating Club will be a list identifying whether a participant is vaccinated, unvaccinated or medically exempted. This list will be kept in a confidential file, securely stored with access limited.
vii. Failure to submit proof of vaccination will result in the immediate withdrawal of the participant and/or team from the Activity.
viii. Refunds will be provided at the sole discretion of the Quispamsis Figure Skating Club.


3. Spectators
i. The Quispamsis Figure Skating Club is extending the requirements of this policy to spectators attending an Activity, provided the Quispamsis Figure Skating Club is informed in advance of whom will be attending the Activity, and they will be required to provide acceptable proof of vaccination as stated in 2. vi. (a) above.


4. Modification
i. The Quispamsis Figure Skating Club reserves the right to amend this policy from time to time as circumstances and conditions change.
